Oslo was beautiful. The one thousand year old capital of Norway was lovely, and you were proud you chose such an amazing vacation spot. However, your pride was overshadowed by the impending feeling of self-loathing you were having at the moment.

Through the twists and turns of this beautiful city, you had gotten yourself completely, and utterly lost. You had finally saved the money to visit a foreign country, and you were lost on the first day. You couldn’t even find your hotel. You were just pathetically wondering through alleyways, dragging a suitcase behind you and trying to get your bearings.

You turned a corner and found yourself in a particularly shady alley. At the end by the exit, there were five men lounging around.

Well, now you had two options. Either make your way back where you came from and hope for the best, or continue forward towards the road and risk walking between five strange men in a strange city.

Where you just came from hadn’t been giving you much luck, so you decided to suck it up, and walk ahead confidently. You read somewhere that muggers were less likely to attack those who looked confident.

So head held high, you dragged your rolling suitcase behind you and make your way towards the end of the alley.

As you approached the men you could see them in more detail. They all looked fairly young. They all had light hair and were chattering in a language you suspected was Norwegian. As you made your way closer, they looked at you in interest. They didn’t seem threatening (though the tallest one had a rather intimidating face). One of the men, or rather boys, they looked around your age, with a hair clip looked at you curiously.

He was cute and you blushed and turned your eyes to the floor.

…only to trip and fall on your face.

“Er du ok?” A voice asked you in Norwegian.

You looked up and saw the boy with the hair clip offering you a hand with a blank face that showed the faintest hint of concern. Blushing you accepted the hand, and he pulled you to your feet.

“I-I’m sorry I don’t speak Norwegian,” you babbled. ((Unless you do, then Skål!))

“Are you alright?” he asked again.

“I’m fine, thank you,” you said, turning to get your bag, desperate to escape the humiliating situation.'

The boy, who helped you, noticed your bag and stuck his hands in his pocket.
“You going somewhere?”

“I uh-”

“Don’t be rude Lukas!” One of the boy’s smiled at you. “Introduce yourself!”

The boy, Lukas, sighed and pulled his hands out of his pocket.

“I’m Lukas Bondevick. These are my friends Mathias, Tino and Berwald, and my brother Emil,” He said emotionlessly, sticking out his hand to you.

You smiled slightly and relaxed. They didn’t seem like murderers and thieves. And when in Rome- or perhaps Norway. You grasped his hand and firmly shook it.

“I’m (Name). Nice to meet you,” you said.

The boy with spiky hair, Mathias, grinned and snaked a hand around your waist.

“What a gorgeous name for a gorgeous girl!” he said, looking down at you.

You violently blushed and before you could open your mouth, he was gone. Startled you looked behind you to see Lukas choking him with his own tie, an irritated look on his face. Emil groaned.

“Can’t you two cut it out for three seconds!?!” He demanded, glaring at his brother.
Lukas released Mathias who began gasping for air.

“Don’t mind them!”

You glanced beside you to Tino, who still wore a cheerful smile.

“They squabble like that all the time!” He assured you.

“Where y’ goin’?” Berwald spoke for the first time.

“Ah, well um, that’s the problem. I’m headed to the Hotel (Name), but I think I took a few wrong turns trying to get there,” you said, laughing nervously.

Lukas raised an eyebrow, “I’d say so. That Hotel is on the other side of town.”

“Great,” you said, letting out a breath of air. “Well, I’ll figure it out. It was nice meeting you!”

You tried to walk away, but you felt a hand grasp your wrist. Lukas was holding your wrist; you looked him in the eyes, and noticed with amusement a faint blush had worked his way onto your cheeks. He quickly released you and his hands found his pockets again.

“You don’t know where you’re going? Do you?” Lukas muttered.

“No, but I’m sure I can figure it out!” You defended.

“Oh! Lukas can help get you there! He knows the city like the back of his hand!” Tino said, nudging the Norwegian closer to you.

Mathias grinned and elbowed Lukas in the side.

“Lukas and a cute girl, alone?” He said, waggling his eyebrows.

“Shut up, idiot!” Lukas said, glaring.

“Well, it would be nice to know where I’m going for a change,” you admitted.

You could have sworn that Lukas looked the tiniest bit pleased. You pushed some hair off your face and smiled sweetly at him.

“As long as you don’t mind,” you said, blinking at him.

“I could take her off your hands Lukas, if you’re not up to it,” Mathias said in a teasing voice.

The next thing you knew Lukas had your bag in one hand and was linking arms with you dragging you off towards the road. You turned your head backwards, and waved.

“Nice meeting you!”

Lukas kept his arms linked with yours until you were out of sight of his friends. He released you and his hands found his pockets again.

“Sorry,” he mumbled, setting your bag down.

“That’s okay,” you assured him. “I really appreciate you helping me!”

“It’s not a problem, (name),” he told you.

You smiled and gestured with your hand.

“Lead the way?”

For the first time, Lukas smiled at you. You thought he looked best when he smiled.

TIME SKIP OF WOW WHY IS IT SO HOT WHERE I LIVE!?!?!

Lukas and you finally found your hotel. He walked you in and held your bag while you checked in with the concierge. He stayed with you until the two of you were standing outside your room door.

“Well I guess I’ll be going now….” Lukas said, hesitantly.

You smiled, “Thank you again for all your help!”

You stood on your tip toes and pecked his cheek. Almost immediately, a cherry red blush spread across his cheeks.

“You know, if it’s not too much trouble, I would love for you to show me around the city tomorrow!” You grinned.

“I could do that…” he mumbled.

“Great! See you tomorrow Lukas!”

Waving, you  shut the door. You walked to your bed and flopped down. You sighed contently and closed your eyes.

You were so excited to get lost in the city with that boy.
